Overview

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is a crucial part of any higher education institution. It is formed as per the guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to monitor and improve the overall quality parameters of academic and administrative activities. IQAC works as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure, aiming to create an environment of academic excellence, innovation, and quality enhancement.

It acts as a driving force for ushering in quality by working out intervention strategies to remove deficiencies and enhance the quality.

Vision

To develop and maintain a quality culture aimed at the continuous improvement of the institution’s academic and administrative performance, ensuring the best educational outcomes for all stakeholders.

Mission

  • To channelize and systematize the efforts and measures of the institution towards academic excellence.
  • To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through the internalization of a quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
  • To ensure the effective implementation of quality-related policies, plans, and actions to achieve the institution’s academic goals.

Objectives of IQAC

  • To develop a framework for conscious, consistent, and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
  • To promote quality enhancement and sustain institutional functioning through internalizing best practices and a culture of excellence.
  • To institutionalize a mechanism for performance evaluation, quality improvement, and the adoption of good practices.

Functions of IQAC

  • Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and administrative activities.
  • Facilitating a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty development.
  • Organization of workshops, seminars, conferences, and quality-related awareness programs.
  • Documentation of institutional programs and activities leading to quality improvement.
  • Acting as a nodal agency for coordinating quality-related activities within the institution.
  • Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to be submitted to NAAC.
  • Promoting innovative practices and monitoring the effectiveness of academic and administrative strategies.
