B.Sc. Chemistry
Reactions. Results. Real Impact.
Overview
The Chemistry department was established in 2015 with the aim of spreading scientific awareness, to develop an eco-friendly practice and finding solutions to social challenges like pollution, and waste management. Chemistry plays a vital role in life and various industries like medicine, agriculture, the food industry, household products etc.
The department is dedicated to providing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in various branches of chemistry including organic, inorganic, physical, analytical and environmental chemistry. The main focus of chemistry is to study the composition, structure properties and change of matter, it seeks to understand how the substances interact, and combine to form a product during a chemical reaction.
The above-mentioned strong foundation in chemical sciences promotes scientific knowledge, practical skills, critical thinking, and research aptitude among students, preparing them for academic, industrial and research-based careers.
Key Features
- Modern labs in organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry
- Counseling for competitive exams (GATE, CSIR-NET, JAM, TNSET)
- Encouragement to present at conferences, mini-projects, dissertations, experimental work
- Main focus on green chemistry awareness, chemical waste management programs
Vision
Reputable institution for science education and research, both domestically and abroad, with a focus on the study of chemistry. By providing competitively trained chemists to support the chemical industry, stakeholders, and the chemical world. The organization’s mission and vision aid in the creation of strategic plans.
Mission
A chemistry mission statement outlines the primary objective of chemistry, which is to comprehend matter and its transformations in order to enhance life, address global issues, and spur creativity. It directs the ethical, secure, and innovative work of chemists for the good of the environment, technology, society, and health.
Key Objectives
- Through the provision of a thorough curriculum that combines scientific knowledge with practical skills, students can become proficient entry-level learners.
- Including encouraging effective communication, evidence-based decision-making, and critical thinking.
- This curriculum places a strong emphasis on training graduates for prosperous careers in nutrition while promoting social responsibility
