Equal Opportunity Cell at MMAS
EOC, Our College ensures that all students are treated as equal. We attempt to address deep- seated inequalities in our system. This cell promotes awareness on the life and also guides students to avail all permissible scholarships and financial assistance.
Our college makes sure that none of the physically challenged students are left behind in the learning progress. Teachers pay more attention to their special needs and provide them more encouragement and support by conducting special sessions. The effective implementation of policies and programs for disadvantaged groups, provide guidance and counselling with respect to academic, financial, social and to enhance the diversity within the campus.
As per guidelines from UGC, an Equal Opportunity Cell is formed at MMCAS, Rasipuram, Namakkal. The proposed objectives of the EOC are as follows:
- To accept and implement harmonized guidelines and space standards for barrier free built environment for persons with disability and elderly persons.
- To clarify the issues for persons with disability and elderly in the campus and to provide an enabling and non-discriminative environment for them.
- To promote general policies and practices for persons with disability and elderly on the campus.
- To look into the objection of the persons with disability/elderly in the campus and ensure equality and equal opportunities to the disadvantaged group on campus through proper implementation of policies, skills and programs of society.
- To circulate the information related to schemes and programs for the welfare of the persons with disability and elderly or other related agencies/organizations issued from time to time.
- To systematize the above mentioned objectives, an ‘Equal Opportunity Cell’ has been formed at the college involving of the following members.
