- At present, this Department offering B.Sc (Physics) degree course under UG and M.Sc (Physics) degree course under PG programs affiliated to Periyar University, Salem.
- The Department provides excellent infrastructure with well furnished class rooms and highly equipped General Physics and Electronics labs.

A Pass in the Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Board or some other Board accepted by the Syndicate as equivalent thereto with physics as one of the subjects.
