In Muthayammal Memorial College of Arts and Science we have an effervescent NSS unit which has been established on 14.10.2019 with a rudimentary objective of providing a dais for the interested students to partake in social work during their free time. The order copy for the commencement of NSS unit in Muthayammal Memorial College of Arts and Science was given by Dr. P. Kolandaivel, Vice Chancellor of Periyar University, Salem to our College Principal D.R. A. Manikandan in the presence of Dr. P. Prakash, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, Periyar University, Salem. Principal Dr. A. Manikandan gave the responsibility of NSS unit to Mr. A. Barnabas, Assistant Professor, Department of English. Periyar University sanctioned of 50 volunteers for NSS unit for the academic year 2019-2020. Now we have enrolled total 100 volunteers for the current academic year 2020-2021. After having discussion with our college Chairman Thiru. R. Premkumar, Principal Dr. A. Manikanan, Staff and NSS volunteers, various activities and programs were carried out. Therefore, the report of the activities of the unit-I for the academic yerar2019-2020 has been a record of accomplishments and triumphs.
